About Our Training
Areas of Focus
MR2 Elite Soccer Training offers custom training sessions tailored to every player. With 10 years of professional experience, I know what drills and situations are needed to push your game to the next level. To give you a feel for some areas of focus, below are just three different areas of focus that I have recently trained my soccer students on:
Technical Training
In just about every training that we do, there is some kind of technical component. Building your relationship with the ball is one of the most important things you can do as a young soccer player. Within technical training we focus on first touch, technique, and speed of play. Those 3 components will help build your relationship with the ball and help to prepare you for whatever the game of soccer throws at you.
Tactical Training
During our tactical training drills, I place players in familiar soccer scenarios that they would see in the game and help them solve that particular scenario. Whether you are a forward, midfielder, or a defender, I have something for you to ensure you are able to quickly recognize and react to each scenario to put yourself in the best position to succeed.
Finishing
When focusing on finishing, we'll obviously work on technique and get lots of reps finishing in and around the box, but as a forward, and any position really, it’s extremely important to understand how to create space so that you have the best chance to get the shot off. So I like to focus on making complete soccer players who can be dangerous with and without the ball.
